View Full Version : No CCE Path?

I have the latest DVD Rebuilder Pro, includes (v1.108.1). I set it for automatic burning using ImgBurn.
It scanned and wrote the TS files to a temporary folder for about twenty minutes and then it aborted saying I did not set a CCE Path and to check the options in the menu.
I must have missed something.
I had the DVD ( to be copied) in one drive and a second in the drive to be burnt. I used the DVD drive with the blank DVD-R as the final destination. I have a feeling that is where I went wrong. I only have had the program a few hours. I have DVD Decrypter on the computer. Do you have to rip the ISO to the hard drive and then to DVD with Decrypter or is it all done automatically?

cce is a commercial encoder!
if you won it, it has to be configured either in the innitial set-up or through settings>>set-up and manually browsing for your copy of cce.exe or ecl depending on which version you have!
if you have not purchased the encoder just select hc through the mode menu!
btw it's probably better you rip the video files to hd before running them through dvd-rb!

I may just try to use it with HC for encoding. I noticed that when I looked at the versions it listed the following:
CCE Basic Version: UNKNOWN
ReJig Version: 0.5.0.5
QuEnc Version: 0.6.1.0
HC Version: 0.17.0.0
DGDECODE Version: 1.4.5
AVISYNTH Version: 2.5.5.0
Are any of the listed encoders better than the others. Like you said it does not look like CCE is with it.
I may delete the DVD Rebuilder. Install CCE (pay version) and then reinstall DVD Rebuilder. It will find CCE and install it.
Correctly if I am wrong but I think that is the only way to integrate CCE with DVD Rebuilder. I don't know if its worth the effort at this point. Also does it encode protected DVD's?
If not will it work with AnyDVD?

CCE is a commercial encoder that RB supports if you have it. HC encoder is an excellent encoder and is a worthy choice. If you purchase CCE there is no need to uninstall RB first - just go into settings->setup and 'search' for your CCE file. Your purchased version will >2.7 so ECLcce is not required (ECLcce is a piece of software that enables early versions of CCE to be used properly).
I would suggest always decrypting your disc with dvddec first and i personlly always rip to an iso file instead of a folder. (DVDDec mode is Read R)

Yes it works with AnyDVD. It typically works faster if you work from harddrive, though. With AnyDVD you can just copy the disc to harddrive. If you have ImgBurn or DVD Decrypter installed, DVD-RB will find that program and use it to burn. Make sure you have "Automatically Burn" selected under "MODE/Select ISO Output Options".
If you ever did want to uninstall DVD Rebuilder and reinstall it, all you would do it from the Windows Control Panel's "Add or Remove Programs" ICON and remove it -- just like any other application.

Zeul: why do you burn to iso instead of folder? and what do you do with the iso (DaemonTools or Alcohol, i assume?)

I always rip to a iso so it can be mounted with daemon and played just like a normal disc. It also means i can't accidently delete the original until the backup is finished.

I usually do ISOs mounted with Daemon Tools as well. That way I can keep several working DVDs at a time on my harddrive and mount/unmount them at will.
