hi everyone,

From years ago I always encode my videos by myself but I only use the basic features as options for my encodings like setting bitrate and passes number and I would like to use the other option like "Quantizer" to improve encoding quality but unfonrtunatly I don't understand what is it and how it can improve encoding quality, there is also more principles that I don't understand what are they like B-frames I-frames P-frames ... and more encoding principles .

That's why if possible could someone please help me to find a tutorial explaining those principles :
- Quantization
- B,I,P ... frames
- Keyframe interval (how does it help in encoding)
- Zones
- VHQ (Xvid)
- and other important principles if I forgot them :p

mainly I use Xvid to encode and I some times use rv10 and X264 could someone help me finding tutorials explaing those codecs features cuz I looked on through google and I found only direct encoding tutorials :( no explaining of the features (Needed quikly if possible :o ).
Thanx alot !!
