Pffff!!!! You're both being quite selfish.

If you're getting lots of stupid PMs it's because you're doing stupid things or you've attracted some kind of troll. PMs are personally-directed and you get a notification. The vast majority of PMs and emails I get from people on these forums are direct questions and quite polite. Not everything needs to be discussed "in public" where you won't necessarily see a new post which is directed at you and all kinds of unrelated noise posts can show up.
