Aviator back up

Aviator. Split using IFOEdit. Set 1 gets a "invalid command" when playing with DVD ply within IFOEdit. Any suggesions?

This error can be caused by an invalid button number in SPRM 8 when a menu is entered. I've seen that often in commercial DVDs!
Not always easy to fix! Try to use the trace mode of PgcEdit to verify, when entering a menu, that SPRM 8 holds a multiple of 1024 greather or equal to 1024 and <= number of buttons in the menu * 1024. For example, if there are 3 buttons in the menu, SPRM 8 must be 1024, 2048 or 3072 and nothing else (unless the force select button flag is set for the menu, but it's very rare.)

BTW, IMO, it is very easier to split a DVD with VobBlanker.

This is right-on diagnosis. But I think you can choose to ignore it, no need to fix [just the button does not get highlighted]. In my experience, you only see it in IfoEdit, but the backup should play fine.

probably right, voo_doo, since, as I said, this problem is present on many commercial DVDs.
But it should be verified anyway: IfoEdit can issue the same error message for more important errors. Also, the wrong button highlight number problem can be fixed easily by using the "force select button" option in the menu editor.
