Using all the usual programs, IFOEDIT, VOBlanker, etc the one thing I have not been able to find the "interviews and commentaries are for entertainment only etc" ID's in order to delete playback. Whether it's in movies or sitcom series ...just don't see it. Anyone have any help ? Thanks

If you cannot see where they are, use pgcEdit in trace mode to locate them.

Tried that with no luck. Interestingly, the dialog appears when playing the files in Power DVD but NOT when playing in WinDVD.
I'll try a test burn on a RW and see what happens in my standalone.
BTW, in this Seinfeld disc, I've blanked out all extras, warnings. so that supposedly all that's left are the menus and episodes.
So I don't know where this dialog is lurking.

It might be in one of the menu cell. Load the menus into VobBlanker, and preview each cell. You will find it there.

I like to use DVDShrink for just this purpose. It lets you
quickly preview every menu and title. I just write down the
menu and title numbers I don't want and then blast everything
away in Vobblanker.

DVD Shrink cannot let you preview to CELL level, only to Menu/Title PGC level. PgcEdit and VobBlanker can, but only VobBlanker let you blank/replace the unwanted cell.

Not totally true, voo_doo. It is possible to replace a cell in PgcEdit, either by a single black frame, or by another cell already present in the domain. But PgcEdit do not remove the unused cell from the VOB files automatically. You have to use FixVTS or VobBlanker to strip it.
But I agree, VobBlanker is the tool to use to blank/replace cells. It is made for this purpose!

Did that, still no luck....I'm determined to find this puppy !

(I am not a user of PowerDVD) I presume PowerDVD has floating menu displays similar to WinDVD. While this "problematic" information is playing under PowerDVD, look at the title/chapter information from the PowerDVD menu...

rolZ is right, of course. I knew that! :D, this feature is esp. handy in the task of removing the Aspect Ratio menu.
Question here, rolZ. What would happen to the menu if:
(1) I clicked off the cell Program number, or (2) I used the "Remove cell" button. Thanks.

I still think it got to be in one of the menu cell. If it did not pop up on cell preview, there is the possibility the frame got buried in the second part of the cell. You might need to use the slider to scan thru all parts of the cell to find it. Also, at what point of playback did this frame show up?

It depends on the nav commands. Normally, it is not safe to remove a program or cell without fixing the VM commands. Most of the times, when a menu PGC is made of several cells and/or programs, the cells are played based upon the content of a gprm, or are called directly by cell, post or button commands.
Killing the playback of a PGC menu is normally safe, since this function removes all cells (if you want so) but, also, the VM commands are modified so that the cells are never called.

It plays right after I select an episode from the menu, just before the actual show starts. PowerDVD identifies it as Title 16 , Capter 1/2. In VOBlanker title 16 is the menu, but even with the slider I don't see it. The main screen of VOBlanker 2.1rc4b previews the menu in the upper riight, and slides through all the menu screens without this dialog being visible. However, when I preview the individual cells, (just 2) they play "black screen", as if they had been blanked. I imagine it's just imbedded in there somehow.

You are getting close :). But now, I am beginning to think the frame is actually in the first cell of your espisode [Title 16], simply because it didn't show in VobBlanker menu preview. Did the frame show in the TitleSet PGC preview?.

So, those actions just renumbered the Program#, or Cell# in the PGC. Is there a way in PgcEdit to adjust playback pointers to skip over a Program or Cell?
[Sorry, if my questions seemed off-track. In some way, it is related to this thread solution ;). rolZ, got your answer, thank you for your attention]

No, that was the first place I looked for it. BTW, I have run across this before in 1 or 2 movies where that same dailog just was impossible to track down. Also strange that even a PGCEdit trace doesn't reveal this little culprit.
Edited for spelling

Is there a way in PgcEdit to adjust playback pointers to skip over a Program or Cell?Of course. Use a LinkCN command, for example. But the difficult part is to know where to insert it.
Sory, I haven't followed this thread closely, so I can't help more. But if you want to skip the first cell of a PGC, you should try to add a "LinkCN cell 2" command as the last pre-command of the PGC. You should also replace the Break commands (if any) by GOTOs to this new command.

@rapscallionPowerDVD identifies it as Title 16 , Capter 1/2. In VOBlanker title 16 is the menu, but even with the slider I don't see it.As an experiment, load the applicable .VOB into VirtualDubMOD and scan it to see where the offending frames are...

setarip....haven't used that program before but will give it a try. This certainly isn't a major issue, but I'm deternined, just out of curiosity, to see where this is hiding.

Note Title 16 is a different thing that VTS #16...
Do you really have a menu in Titles domain?

You are right, it may not be possible to locate this frame via preview. At this point, I would concentrate on isolating the menu/title containing the offending frame via trial blanking with VobBlanker, and then work from there. Good hunting! :D

Thanks all ! Tried VirtualdubMod, as well, with same results.
I think at this point, nuff time spent

You've piqued my curiosity. Are there any specific MOVIE DVDs (not TV program DVDs) that have presented this problem to you?
