Dear All,

I have joined together some shorter films into one DVD by using DVD Shrink. Now I have 10 titles on this DVD, but I do not even have a simple menu to give an overview on the contents and the possibility of a direct jump to the requested title.

Is there any freeware that allows me to simply create a menu for this DVD?

I would not like to convert the VOB files to AVI and to work with a video authoring software (Ulead, Studio 9, etc.). Best would be to leave the VOBs untouched.

The only functions for the menu which I will need are:

- select title from clicking on a picture or text linked to this title
- having an automatic jump back into the menu after playing the title
- having the choice of "play all titles"
- I always only need to jump to the beginning of a title

Looking forward to your replies.

Regards

I think DVD Styler / DVD Author GUI (both free) can do it - though they will require elementary streams (m2v/mpa etc.) which you can create from the VOBs by demuxing with DGIndex for ex.

Basically, you can use any authoring program, but you will have to redo the whole authoring from scratch. DVD-Lab (Pro?) can also import directly a VOB file, but it is not free.

There is also a simple and fully automatic solution to enable the use of the Title menu to jump directly from title to title, but it's not really a menu. Have a look at the DVDShrink plugin for PgcEdit, available on my homepage.

dvdlab will demux the VOB, but you can externalling import the DVDShrink assets, but then you will need pgcedit to alter the vm navigation mapping as dvdlab does not access the external VTS VM commands
