IVTC help

Right now I'm using everything the xvid guide (http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/xvid.htm) told me to get. Everything seems alright from Step 2 and 1, but i got some little problem at Step 3 of the guide, and I am using the Xvid 1.1, btw. The video that comes out from vdub seems to droping frames because it is all choppy, but the framerate is 23.976. I'm pretty sure it has to do with IVTC.

The source video is NTSC. The end of the .d2v file is: FINISHED 92.23% FILM

'If DGIndex showed your source as NTSC FILM below 95% you enable Inverse Telecine here and you must also change the framerate that you set in step 4.'

Load your AVI or avs. Press Control-R
Enable Inverse telecine by selecting Reconstruct from fields - adaptive. You can also try the other options but most the adaptive algorithm is the most likely to succeed.

It sounds like you are using the inverse telecine from within virtualdub which, quite frankly, sucks.

If you want to do inverse telecine, you should do it in avisynth, with a plugin like TIVTC.

First though, I would recommend using forcefilm in dgindex. Your movie has such a high % of film, its still possible that the movie itself is all film. Things like studio logos at the beginning and credits after the movie can bring the percentage down like that. So basically I'd try doing force film and see if it looks alright to you. That might be all you need.
