Which is the best result giving app to playback a 1280x720 wmv(9)? My CPU is old (AMD 1400 Mhz), and it doesn't work good with MediaPlayer. Is there any other alternatives? Like VLC player, which for some reason does not allow me to play it, it plays it, but doesn't show the video. Same I have with (.avi)s, and VLC solved it perfectly.
:thanks:

Any suggestions, anyone? It's an HD-DVD.

Those are not HD-DVD, those are just plain DVDs with DRM-ed WMV on them. VLC cant play those because they're encrypted.
Upgrade to a faster computer - I dont think a 1.4 Athlon can decode HD WMV files (especially if these are 1080i/p).
You can download (non-DRM-ed) HD WMV files from Microsofts website and check if these run any better in VLC - if yes you might want to have a look at the DRM10 thread...

my amd64 3000+ have difficulties to decode HD if i'm not in Overlay. Forget about your Athlon 1.4 :)

Well in fact your 1.4Ghz athlon is able to play 720p wmv but you must disable the post-process ...

... and use Media Classic Player.
My old celeron 1.4 Mhz was able to play correctly 720p WMV9 PP0.
