While sat here on my lunch at work, I noticed that a new AnyDVD is out with an improved skip straight to main menu feature for discs. Has anybody tried this with DVD-RB? Would it even work? Just thought it might be an easy way to cut the rubbish out.

I am 98% sure that would not work. It does it in memory (well in my mind that is the best way to describe it). DVD Rebuilder does it on the hard drive.

So if AnyDVD is just hiding the files, surely DVD-RB won't be able to see them and thus won't process them? I might have a test tonight when I get home.

I use DVDremake all the time, but it was just a 'I wonder if' type question!

only thing AnyDVD appears to do is change the Jump pre command on the first play.. it doesnt remove any materials. this should not impact dvdrb at all.

That's what I thought.
