I have several AVI clips that I would like to join into one file. I imported them into Nero Vision and created a DVD from them. It came out great, except the clips are really all one video. Since there were separate clips, there is a slight "freeze" on the screen while the next clip loads. There does not appear to be a way to join these files in Nero Vision. I bought the TmpGenc bundle and used the express program to make one clip out of the avi files. There were alot of different options to choose from and I didn't know which one to choose, so I selected the DVD format since that was my ultimate goal. It encoded the file and made an mpeg-2 file. Since it said DVD, I figured it was going to create a DVD file that could be directly burned to DVD. Maybe mpeg2 is a DVD file, but won't have to be transcoded into whatever the DVD format requires? I opened the file I created in Windows Media Player and it looked pretty good, but when there was movement, the edges looked a little fuzzy and there seemed like there were some horizontal lines here and there along the edges. Is this because there is too much information for windows media player to deal with? Or will it really look like that when I burn it to DVD? The original didn't look that way. Did I chose the wrong settings? Is there a better way to combine these avi files. I see there's a program call Nandub, but there are two version available and I'm not sure which is the one I would want to use. One says lumafix next to it, but I have no idea what that is.
I was also wondering...there are a lot of programs on the site. Do any of them conflict with each other. I'm always a little afraid to add something new since every I have is working pretty well.
Thanks.
