i have a video file my friend encoded to xvid. Problem is it out of sync so does anyone know how i can demux the video and audio then resync.does anyone know any programs. if you know one can you tell me how to do it

Everything you need to know can be found in the various guides, as well as using Search and reading the stickys at the top of each forum. You may also want to re-read the forum rules (http://forum.doom9.org/forum-rules.htm) to which you agreed when you signed up to this forum, particularly 1, 1a and 6 (in case your file in question is copyrighted material).

sorry wasnt specific
it was a school project which was big so he encoded it but did not have sync.

Should just be able to do it with virtualdub or virtualdubmod. Shift the offset around until it comes out right and resave to a new file. Unless the rate is wrong, then you'll have to re-encode the audio or change the video framerate.
