Hi guys. I just downloaded DEMO version of Mainconcept H.264 encoder 2.0.15. When i try to play video encoded with Mainconcept V2 encoder, BSplayer Pro 1.35 or any other player won't play that file. Sound is OK, but video isn't there.

For the record, I have installed FFDSHOW on my system.

Did you encode interlaced? 10/12 bit? Extended profile? 4:2:2 or 4:4:4 colorspace? Or anything else that lavc doesn't support?

mainconcept only outputs .mpg or .ts or .264 streams, if you dont have a parser for those (with avc support) you cant play the file

that said latest cvs mpc supports avc in .mpg and .ts

Thank you Bond. Can you give me a download link to that parser, please.

@ foxyshadis

I don't know yet. But I use MPEG2 source( not interlaced ). Every setting is on default.

P.S. Why Mainconcept still use MPG container for H.264 video? That's wrong.

hddvd and bluray will use .mpg and .ts too

Well, you must mux it to AVI. There is a tool in Sharktooth build 408, AVC to AVI with GUI. Just load *.264 file in that little program and mux it to AVI.

Bond, can you tell me about your experience with Mainconcept H.264 V2 encoder, what is optimal settings?

P.S. Bond, I looked in Player forum, but was unable to find that H.264 parser for MPG files. Can you, please, give me a direct link?

I don't know about Bond's post in the player forum, but I found a post he did in the container forum a few weeks ago with a link to the tools.

mux .264 into .mp4 with yamb

Well, you must mux it to AVI.
wtf?!? NO!!!
You may want to mux it into MP4 (YAMB) or MKV (mkvmerge) but NOT AVI.
Keep AVC away from AVI...

Sharktooth, I downloaded Bond H.264 parser from link he above, but I don't know to use it. How to use that H.264 parse, without GUI interface? Where to find GUI interface to that parser?

Thank you.
