I'm looking into switching from Shaw analogue cable to Bell ExpressVu (Canada) and I'd like to replace my ATI AIW with a new DVB-S capture card.
Could I get some DVB-S capture card recommendations that would work on this network? I admit I'm totally new to DVB-S so any other general recommendations would be welcome.
Thanks

As far as I know, there is no legal way to receive BEV with DVB-S card. Reception of satellite service in North America using a DVB-S card is of the hacking/illegal veriety. Such discussions are not permitted on this board.

first of all don't threaten users with rules, moderators are capable people around here. second he's not violating anything since no matter what you do, or what and how you hack, he still can't get any PC card to work with his paid Bell receiver/package, there is no such thing as a hack for this.

I was not threatening him with anything. I was just pointing out that should the thread evolve into wanting more information about using a dvb-s card and BEV (like it usually does) THAT would break the rules.

If it's illegal in North America then so be it, thanks for pointing it out. Perhaps that info could be more prominently displayed in a sticky somewhere. If it is already stated somewhere, then I must have missed it.
