Weirdness with divx and synergy?

this all worked fine for ages, but after changing to the last betas of divx, anytime i choose the divx codec in vdubmod, synergy* stops working? this happens on 2 pcs for some reason. the system still does things in the background so its not frozen

i removed that version of divx and installed the latest when it demanded i do that, and the issue became a more intermittent one - one 1 pc. on the other, it didnt make a diff. it still 'locks'

other codecs are fine tho

*synergy - prog to control other pcs without KVM.

just in case anyone else had the same prob - answer = DEP!

that damned thing screwed divx and synergy on my 3 pc;s somehow. turned it off and alls back to normal again :)

DivX should be fully DEP compliant, I can't speak for Synergy though.

it was some weirdness between the 2 i think. synergy stopped responding on those PCs and divx panel locked completely when DEP was on. things in the background was fine. plugged a keyboard in and could control as usual so it wasnt windows freezing.

anyways, as of the new divx and the latest beta - no worries thanks to DEP being off. :)

hopefully wont be a prob anymore heh
