Loading .avs scripts into Adobe Audition 2.0 (Is it possible?)

I was digging around to find a way for Audition 2.0 to load my MPEG's, but it seems like it only want's to load .avi. And I thought ".avs would be supposed to be an .avi proxy?" :p So is it possible to make it load one?

I'm not THAT experienced with AVS scripts, but think I remember suggestions to simulate programs loading .avi, but pointing to an .avs, but that trick did definately not work :scared:

Assuming it can make use of ACM, then I guess you could use makeavis to create a fake wav.

Vfapi codec can create fake avis if I'm not mistaken

I just tried makeavis from the ffdshow toolbox. It works..... at least for some moments, then Audition breaks the video-connection and has to be restarted before I can load video into it again.

It sounds mostly like a bug in Audition, as video plays fine in Media Player, but I was unable to test it's normal video functions - I can't believe this app is SOO picky!!! Even tried to make a divx/xvid avi-file, but they are not accepted eigher!!!

I googled around, and a someone stated, that the Adobe Video Production Studio Premium only has the capability to use MPEG-files (but the feature sounded more like crosslinking, to other Adobe applications). Wouldn't it be a standard flt-filter needed for this?
