View Full Version : AVC/h.264 Seeking Issues

Lately I've noticed anything that I encode in AVC with Nero or x.264 plays absolutely flawlessly end to start, but...If you at all use the time bar to progress through the video, it looks like the bitrate halved or something. For instance: A line on someone's shirt appears perfectly fine before you skip through the video, after that the lines gets all smudgy and the colors dull.

I've fiddled with all my settings, updated playback codecs, etc...Nothing helped. Just wondering if there's a quick fix with it or not? I can post pictures later if needed.

It seems that the inloop filter may not be working correctly after you seek. What decoder are you using?

yep, it's a decoder issue. maybe you want to upgrade your decoder to a newer version or change decoder.
i suggest you to try coreavc or the latest build of ffdshow (if you're on windows).
