Hi, i'm using dvd rb 1.07.2 with procoder2 (mastering quality, default matrix), encoding anime dvds(sam champloo), mainly keeping all default options, then i hit "prepare" and all is done ok, then i click "encode" and the program starts encoding the segments and creating the .m2v encoded video, i check the encoded segments to see how the dvd is going to look, i check the created files with power dvd, media player classic and bsplayer pro, and in all of them the video looks great, when all segments are finished, i hit "rebuild" and the program starts creating the dvd, when i check the final dvd with powerdvd, the video shows little rainbowing in some parts, and in others, horizontal lines. I don't know what can be, and why the video is altered during the rebuild phase if it was encoded properly. Also tried with cce(this encoder produce stutter with anime dvds) and hc with the same results. So i'm really lost now. Maybe someone can give me a hand.
Thanks in advance.

looks to me that the source dvd is interlaced - so rebuilder will rebuild it as interlaced

yes it will likely play fine on a standalone player.

you can try deinterlacing also

It looks like what you are showing there are frames created by the telecining process. That's completely normal -- and absolutely necessary in order to playback on an NTSC television (it won't play without it). Telecining converts a 23.976fps (FILM) to 29.97fps for the NTSC broadcast standard by combining fields from two different frames and creating new frames.

If you look at the original you will see the exact same thing. You can't see it during playback on a settop player. The reason you don't see it in the M2V files is because no pulldown flags have been applied yet -- and your computer is playing it back at 23.976fps.

Thank you very much for all your answers, so i don't have to worry about that then, i'll test it on my standalone player.
