Is anyone using a JVC DR-M70S as part of their hardware chain?
http://www.jvc.ca/en/consumer/product-detail.asp?model=DR-M70S
It seems to have a lot of JVC goodness in it (including a TBC, according to the box), the guy at the store took a quick look at the manual and there was mention of the video output being possibly distorted because of Macrovision. This leads me to believe that it filters its output, doesn't just pass it through, and may have use as a cost-effective TBC & hardware filter between my VCR and my capture card. Emailed JVC a few days ago, no response yet. Has anyone already tried this?
