QUick software question about recomdations

I was looking for a very simple avi to dvd converter and found a few results. The one I found most interesting was one called "Mainconcept" has anyone heard of this or have any other recomdations?

Mainconcept is OK but others are better. TMPGEnc and KVCD|MVCD Templates will do a good result. Most here will prefer HCEnc by Hank or QuEnc by Nic. Both using AVISynth-Scripts as input. Use FitCD to create them. Also you have to encode the audiostream seperatly with besweet for example. Use muxman to mux them to VOB-files.

You should give ConvertXtoDVD a try. Very good for 'newbies' and great quality with exceptional speed. Also try Avi2DVD with which you can do things very simple and implement the encoders mentioned by Amon82 i.e HCEnc, QuEnc. Not as quick as ConvertXtoDVD but should be good quality.
