DIVXtoDVD to convert now movie skips

Ok i have an XVID that is at 640x272 (2.35:1) 1021 kb/s I used DIVX to DVD to convert to DVD format however noticing it now the movie skips ever so slightly, maybe not sure if skip is the right word but i guess FPS is off because its not as smooth during panning scenes, such as panning over a road from a sky view etc its not a smooth transition like the original AVI. DIVX to DVD doesn't offer many options, so can anyone recommend a better program that is almost just as simple?

It would probably be simpler to use DVD Shrink or similar to make a backup of your original, purchased DVD...

Your problem is not related to the codec but, as you suspect, somehow related to the FPS. Maybe you should try with an avisinth script.

Thanks, i figured it out, i used avi2dvd with one of the encoders, much better program, btw the movie is not a purchased dvd its a training video that i paid for and downloaded online. thanks.
