View Full Version : DVD Shrink- ReAuthored by deleting frames

I have recently re-authored a couple of movies by editing out some of the frames from them using Shrink and/or Nero Recode. It worked great, BUT the transition from frame to frame at the edited points has a slight 1 to 2 second stall and was wondering how I can get the transition from those deleted areas to be more fluid without that stall. Which program would be best for this? Thanks in advance.:thanks:

Hi!
Sounds like your editing method has resulted in separate TITLES.
If this is the case, you can use DVD2One in "Join" mode/"Seamless-Append to last titleset" to convert the multiple TITLES to one continuous TITLE - with chapters in tact...

Thanks for the feedback. I'll look into DVD2One. I've also been recommended Ulead Video Studio, Ulead DVD Workshop, and Womble Wizard or something.
Would these do basically the sme thing you are describing?

I downloaded the trial of DVD2One but can't seem to find the 'Seamless-Append to last titleset' that your talking about. Also do I need to use the original DVD or can I use the edited movie that's on my hard drive? Thanks for your help, I'm hoping I can get the hang of this.

After selecting "Join" mode and selecting the first title to be included (three steps, if I remember correctly - title, chapters, audio) you'll see that the box that originally contained the word "Join" now contains different words. Click on the down arrow to the right of these words and select "Seamless-Append to last titleset". Make sure to do this after each title selection.
Use [COLOR="darkred"]ONLY an unencrypted version - using the versions that reside on your hard drive will be much faster...

Thanks setarip, but looks like the trial version doesn't have that option, I did however get a couple edited clips to join together but still had that stall.
Don't want to buy the full version when I'm not sure it's the program I'm searching for.
But I did find this forum's thread on vobedit and ifoedit and will be trying it today. http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?t=60724
Thanks again though.:thanks:

That did the job I was looking to do!!!
The whole film is now one continuous chapter after chapter and the edited points have smooth transitions! Can't tell that it's been edited.;)
