im using x264 and megui to encode for psp just had a few questions regarding resolutions, i have 2.6 firmware

1.What resolutions can be used for psp videos other than 320 x 240, 368 x 208 , and 400 x 192

2.Would 400 x 192 carry more detail for a 16:9 transfer than 368 x 208 because it uses more pixels?

3. is there a resolution higher than 400 x 192 that can be used for psp for better picture quality ( more detail etc)?

I work with VDubMod to encode for PSP, i use 480X272 Bilinear but you could use something else to achive what your looking for...

I also apply a "smooth" filter if the video is a bit pixeled.
If you are not doing a compression select Direct Stream Copy.

You have to remember that quality is judged by size, if you have a 1G Card and can spare the size then you could get better video resolutions if you decide to use higher bitrates and such.

Cheers ;)

so would that resolution 480 x 272 work on all psps?
iv been using x264 to encode with as of recently, i that pic much much more clearer and lower kbps can be used so smaller files size. wanted to experiment with bigger resolution to get more detail
