Hello guys
I've a question about muxing audio (ITA) from a PAL source into a video (USA) NTSC format.
video is 23.976fps and audio is for video 25fps. I always use audition to stretch my audio, and these are my settings:
Ratio = 104.27
Time/Pitch > Stretch
Precision = Low
Stretching Mode = Resample
the mux is perfect, audio is synched but there are little bit slowing down problems and tones modification... is possible avoid that?

This is what u have to change:
Precision = Low
Stretching Mode = Resample
to this:
Precision = High (why would u want low precision?)
Stretching Mode = Time Stretch (preserves pitch)
If Resample is selected, then the frequencies are change mathematically to a multiple of what the stretching values are. I.e. if u stretch the audio in 200%, the sample will be change from A to B where B is 2x A. That means the final sample rate will be i.e. 800Hz --> 1600Hz. Now letīs pretend male voices are at 800 and female voices are at 1600 Hz, then what was male in A (at 800 Hz) is now female cuase itīs at 1600 Hz. This is just an example to illustrate that when u preserve the pitch, the tone of the selected frequencies are reaccomodated to stay the same as possible as in the source track.
If u instead preserve the tempo, the length will be keep the same while the pitch is accomodated to be at the value it would be if the tempo had been changed to the stretching values selected (i.e. with 50% the time should be for 1 minute, 2 minutes and the pitch should go from high to low, but the tempo is kept, so only the pitch is changed).
