divx 3 (2cds +subs) to dvd?

i have an old dvd backup from years ago in divx 3, spread over two cds, with .srt subtitles, how exactly do i go about moving it onto a standalone-playable dvd+r?

It would be far simpler, make more sense, and result in far higher quality, to use (freeware) DVD Shrink, or similar, to make a backup of your original, purchased DVD...

crescens: does your standalone not support DivX? If so, it might be able to play your backup as-is, without need for reencoding.
