- well... it encodes the menus the same way it encodes the rest... meaning... the menus will be smaller... meaning... there will be more space available for eveything :D

Just tried backing up Red Eye (1hr25min movie)with menu encoding selected and extras blanked. Interestingly the result was quite a bit oversized @ 4.43gb.
All my other movie only mode backups result in ~4.35gb, using CCE 4 pass.
Does CCE treat the menus differently somehow? BTW target sectors set @227880

No... but stills can't be reduced, so if there are a lot of them (they're a lot more common in menus) it could make the calculations go off... I'll look and see if I can prevent that.

Having an oversize issue here as well. The movie, X-Men 1.5. Same result with last and present ver of Rebuilder Pro. It comes in at 4.42, according to CopyToDvd. Using CCE 4 pass, menu enc enabled, kill DTS audio, 64bit idtc, Kvcd notch matrix, full backup. Maybe will try with menu enc off...

Worst comes to the worst folks, you can use MenuShrink (http://jean.laroche.free.fr/MenuShrink/) afterwards if needs be. It can select a single VCID to crunch if you like to buy yourself a few tens (or hundreds) of Mb.

Ok, I looked at this and I think I may have found something that could make size prediction be off (not much, but off) when encoding with "Menu Encoding" on... I'll fix it for the next release.

4.43GB is "perfect"? A DVD+-R will only hold 4.37GB...
