Just wanted to let everyone know I've found a bug in v1.07/1.07.1 and I'm working on it. Here are the circumstances in which it will occur:
1. You select a subtitle for removal in a VTS.
2. The menu for that VTS is going to be encoded (it's > 50MB)
3. The subtitle you are removing has the same stream ID as the highlights in the menu
4. The disc is 16:9
In this scenario either all highlights in the menu will not show, or the one designated for "letterbox" will not appear because the stream is incorrectly removed.
I am working on the problem and should be releasing a new version tomorrow. In the meantime, although the scenario above is pretty specific, just to be safe, I'd recommend not removing any subtitles in any movies you are working. The subtitles are extremely small and in most cases aren't worth removal anyway.
Sorry for the bug... but sometimes it happens with substantial changes (like those associated with menu encoding).
Thanks for your support.

Appreciated that you pointed this out Jdobbs, also it has occured to me that perhaps in the future it would be best to omit the option for the removal of subtitles so such errors or possibilities of errors do not occur. The size, as you pointed out will make no difference and don't quote me on this but I believe DVD-RB doesn't update the tags for subtitles. I am not sure if I'm the only person here who feels this way.

Hi there!
I just stumbled across that error on "Collateral" (R2). The Menu works properly on my software player, but on my DVD-Player (Pioneer DV-444) there are no highlights on the various menu points.
So i thought, maybe you could need some files of that disc?

Nope, it's already fixed and I'll ship the fix sometime today. The reason it acted differently would probably be because there can be two different sets of subtitles -- one for 16:9 (letterbox) display and one for 4:3... only one got removed.

Here in europe there are often many subtitles on the DVD and it is easyly possible that you can save about 30 MB by deleting them.
I hope this fixes my The Island problem although I didn't delete any subtitles.

I wouldn't consider 30MB significant on a 4.37GB disc. It represents about 6/1000s of the disc. So, as an example, if you had a two hour feature on the disc and the calculated bitrate was 3,200 Kbs -- if you removed all the subpictures you could change that to 3,233 Kbs. That truly isn't going to make any difference in video quality.

I agree with Rumbah...keep the subtitles choice as is. On the other hand, if deleting the various subtitles is going to cause a really Hugh problem for jdobbs then I could find it in my heart :p to have RB Pro. leave them all included in my backup.
@Rumbah
I had a problem with 'The Island' also. Check out this link below for the problem.

In the end, I backed up the movie without using the slideshow on the credits...backup works fine.

I have no intention of removing that ability... we're only debating its usefulness...
What's the most recent version you've tried with "The Island" the link says v1.06...

Well, that is good to hear...I like it, especially the ability to remove forced subs.:D
Concerning 'The Island', I used version 1.06 and 1.06.1 without success, regarding slideshow of credits. So, as I indicated I backed up movie only, with no slideshow on credits, using version 1.06.1. back in January.
Not a big deal really as I now have a perfectly good backup of the movie (no slideshow). I just thought it was wierd that the problem only occured on that movie.
BTW, at the time I did try v. 1.06.1 on a different movie and the slideshow worked just fine as always. So, the problem followed 'The Island' therefore the problem must be with that movie and not DVD-RB Pro.
I now have version 1.07.1
