I have now searched the forum for a dust and scratches -filter to make the look of old damaged film-stocks. Somewhere I read about ffdshow could do this in realtime but can you render the effect with Ffdshow as for example a Quicktime file?
If there is another filter that is doing this please let me know :)

Have you tried the respository at warpenterprises? I thought there was a few effects filters that did that sort of thing. Of course, what you want to ADD to your video is what most of us want to REMOVE from ours! ;)

I know there's a VirtualDub filter to do this:

Thank you guys!
@TedKunich
Hehe yeah I found plenty of those dust-removers.
@Pookie
This MSU-filter was ok but it doesn't let me control all of the dusts n' scratches.
It makes the footage loose colour information too :(. Other than that it would be good for my use.

ffdshow can save out it's playback preferences, and (if you've got a newer version) gives you an avisynth and virtualdub plugin that allows you to use ffdshow's processing as an effect. just what you want :).
the plugins aren't very well documented though... should be pretty simple to figure out though (i haven't used it).
