Hello,

I have a series of about 20 vob files (20 chapters) which I have merged into two big vob file of 700MB each using Vobedit.

I then us ifoedit and create the IFO files. The problems I am facing is that I am getting only the first 10 chapters and about 45 minutes of video. It seems ifoedit is reluctant to do any chapters beyond 10. My understanding is that by joining the 20 chapters in two sets of 10 chapers, ifoedit should be able to create the appropriate ifo, but this is not being the case. I am novice in this field. So please explain what i am doing wrong and how I should tackle the problem.

Thanks in advance.

Join all the chapters in a single VOB (may be a set of two files), running VOBEdit just once. The final DVD (and IFOEdit when creating the IFOs) needs a continuous VID/CID numbering.

Jsoto, if by continuous VID/CID numbering you mean VTS_01_1.VOB, VTS_01_2.VOB, etc, then it is continuous in this sense. I joined 8 vob files with vobedit and named it VTS_01_1.VOB and another 8 vob files called VTS_01_2.VOB. When I create the Ifo, only the first 10 chapters are created, that is 8 chapter from VTS_01_1.VOB and another two from VTS_01_2.VOB

I am puzzled of what could be the culprit. Any idea?

Rename source vob files to VTS_01_001.VOB, VTS_01_002.VOB, VTS_01_003.VOB ........

Open VTS_01_001.VOB in vobedit and choose from menu "Edit - Join clips"
choose destination directory
in a popup asking for first VOB-ID choose "1"
vobedit creates new vobs in destination directory

create ifos in new directory with ifoedit
