Hi all.

I am still burning Dual Layer coasters and I do not know why.

My media is Verbatim +R DL my burner is an LG DL burner.

I decrypted my movie with DVD Decrypt with Read ISO to my HD.

I then selected Write ISO still within DVD Decrypt.

When the panel came up confirming the burner to be used in the application, I selected from the burners LG, and then selected the function for burning DL disks and clicked O.K.

The burn went through smoothly with no errors recorded and at the end I was advised the burn was successful.

I had no error or re-tries when decrypting nor during the burn.

So why is it when I put the "successful burned" DVD into the computer to play I was advised to insert the DVD into the drive?

I tried the same in my DVD player and this time I was advised that the media was not recognised.

These exercises are costing me a fortune in disks

I later did a DVD shrink using the ISO/MDS files on my hard drive and the shrunk version works perfectly.........I am really at wits end.

All help is appreciated.

Try burning a disk using ImgBurn and the MDS file created during ripping, and set your burn speed no higher than half the rating of the burner or media, whichever is lower. Never burn at "MAX."

Hi there.

Thanks for you reply. Yes I have the ImgBurn and ImgTool Burn programs, and the MDS file.

I will try them in turn the next time I find something that I think I should burn to DL. Half burn speed will also be used.

Regards :D
