In my neverending search for the highest quality anolog (Svideo) TV output I am tempted to try the Sigma Xcard.
It seems this card is a few years old now so I'm wondering if anyone is using anything newer/better/different to improve analog output quality?

I used the Sigma Xcard since it was first launched and was very happy with it.
However, Sigma appear to have abandoned support for it, as they have not issued any new software for over two years :scared:
Also, as chip-set specifications go it's quite old now and as been superseded by newer Sigma chip-sets and more importantly, by other chip-set manufacturers... most notably, MediaTek's MT1389xx range of chip-sets ;)
If you just want to play std-def encodes I would recommend you look for a stand-alone player fitted with the afore mentioned MediaTek chip-set.
Cheers
