Hi there, i use AutoGK for DV-captures conversions (for DVD backups i prefer FairUse Wizard) and i almost like it as is.
Anyway it would be really great to use the ffdshow encoding engine (as FU & RealAnime already does) due to the multiple codecs support ability.
AutoGK encodes trough VirtualDubMod, so it would be easier to implement this.
It would be great to have the option to encode @ original size (720x576) and use different audio codecs (like Vorbis) and containers (like Matroska).
HaPpY CoDiNg !
:thanks:

1) Requests for (A)GK development are better suited in the development forum.
2) Len0x ceased AGK development several months ago. GK, on the other hand, is an open source project (at www.sourceforge.net) which may still receive some development activity.

since AutoGK is a private work of Len0x any information should be from him.
I doubt that will be a so upgrade but anyone will be glad.
May i suggest to use my mkvmagic. I have introduced single pass and 2 pass generic vfw codec. You can use ffdshow with it

Oh, well... all VFW codecs ! (theora, snow, mpeg-1/2/4, h264, etc etc...) ;)

All ? Well I don't think this is a good idea because VDM is very limited concerning muxing and containers features, especially with A/V streams like MPEG, or Theora. In addition, some tools don't support streams from vfw interface.
So, encoding process can be done easily through GK but all stuff for muxing seems to be too boring (i.e wasting time for few things).
Just my 2 € cents...;)
