I have started making backups using Pgcedit and various guides, now I would like to try blanking out sections (warning, etc...) I am unable to view anything in preview window, all I see is a black screen. I am able to click the "play button and see movement of slider but no video. I have tried changing settings in preview settings to no avail. Can anyone help me get the correct settings or tell me what I did wrong?
BTW, Pgcedit looks to be a program that will be of great use to me as I learn more about it. Thanks for any assistance at all.

i will move this thread to the ifo/vob editors forum, where hopefully r0lz, or one of the other pgc_edit gurus can help you out.

I have never heard of a similar problem with the preview.
I guess you have just played a black video. In many commercial DVDs, there are often short black videos that are played during startup. If the play time of the current PGC is around 1 sec or less, then it's probably the case. Just continue to trace until you hit some real video.

You can also test the preview by selecting the main title (the one with the longest play time) and launching the preview (right click on the PGC, and select "Preview PGC", or use the preview menu.)
If the playback is still all black, try to disable the DirectDraw overlays, in the preview menu.

Let me know if it works. Thanks.

Disabling Directdraw did the trick. I toggled this option several times to verify, thank you for the reply and I want to thank you for this program. I have followed the several threads and found your responses to be very helpful.

Thanks for the confirmation, and for the kind words, dandoc1953.
