Hey all, I do analogue captures using streamer, & mjpeg tools.
usually with a script similar to this:
streamer -n ntsc -t 20:00 -s 352x480 -r 29.970 -o stream.avi -R 48000 -f mjpeg -j 95 -F stereo -c /dev/video0

This works fine. I got wine working, avisynth working, vdubmod working as well as CCE. They all work fine except for one thing: when using avisynth vdub complains about a vfw codec for mjpg. Without avisynth vdubmod decompresses just fine. So I had a brainstorm. I tried to install the Picvideo Mjpg I purchased and tried to install using Wine, I got a weird error message saying "could not create installer instance". Ok so I just took the picvideo dll placed it in my winedrive, adjusted the registry using winetools and boom! vdubmod using avisynth now opens perfectly!! However I now have the famous watermark on the video. I just can't find (off-hand) Where to enter the serial #'s to register the codec. I don't have the same places to enter that info as in windows. It must go in the registry somewhere. Does anyone know Before I'm forced to boot back into windows and search the registry manually ??????
Thanks for any help
