Going to be sleeping on the couch soon if I don't get this one... Locally, TV is broadcasted in dual channel audio (English, French). Options in WinTV indicate you can record "dual" mono audio into the mpeg. I can setup the card and get language A or B recorded but never both.

Have yet to sort out the how nor if this is feasible after being all over the place. Have read about workaround of piping the nicam stereo from the VCR to the card input but not high on my list of options for a user friendly htpc. Have read about dual channel VCD's, question is what's behind creating them and is it at the encoding or post manipulation.

Would certainly appreciate a sign on whether this is out of the question or...

Thanks...

Have you tried recording the audio stream as normally (i.e.the stereo setting) and then selecting "dual channel" in the audio encoder setup, this way the two channels will be completely separate. I assume here that the PVR150 has similar options as my old PVR250 did. You might then get one track in one channel and one in the other channel.

Asking Hauppauge directly (or asking in their support forum) might also be useful.
