Good morning all....


I´m sorry for posting such a question but i tried everything and nothing works.

Is there any posibillity to encode a ipod video file with the mainconcept codec?
I try all, nothing works... baseline profile 1.3.. didnt work... even switching off all features of the encoder was putting out a file playable in itunes but not on the ipod.

so pls... if u know anything about this problem help me.

You are remuxing to mp4? Because doesn't it output to TS or PS mpg?

MainConcept only output to a .mpg file, i think that's why ipod doesn't support it.

not even mpegstreamclip supports that kind of stream the mc produces.

the "mainconcept" h.264 encoder is the elecard encoder

elecards tools support mp4 output

with yamb the elementary video from mc-encoder will not work. how to do?

if you encode a raw video stream with mainconcept you can mux it into mp4 with yamb (make sure that it has the .264 extension)

how to encode to a raw-file? just mpg (program) and mpv (elementary), nothing else. the both filetypes are not supported during yamb. AND: does quicktime support high-profile in playback or just main?

elementary = raw, iirc :p
Then do as bond asid, rename the video file extension from *.mpv to *.264

i think quicktime has problems with more than 1 b-frames and it doesnt support mixed references

that's not good! my idea of watching these movies is just to go on the site and clicking on the link. nothing else - just simple watching. and so many people have quicktime installed so they can easiely watch. any other ideas for a very simple way of watching h.264 in super quality on a website (no great circumstances for "dummy"users)??? on both mac and pc!!!

Maybe your machine is not fast enough for decoding with Quicktime. It probably needs twice the power VLC would require.

By the way, VLC can be launched from direct video links on websites just fine. Only the embedded player (within a browser window) is a bit limited at the moment.
