About xvid and ASF, help!

I can packet xvid audio and video stream into Microsoft AVI format, and play it in Microsoft media player correctly. However, if I use Microsoft ASF format to packet, media player can't play this stream. Can I packet xvid audio and video stream into ASF format and play it using media player? If so, what can I do?

if you have installed VCM or DMO xvid decoder WMP should play ASF file with such a content:
