long ago, gordianknot ruled, for it was the ultimate encoding frontend for dvd to divx/xvid conversion, but i don't know why it's development has been stopped? i please please request the guys behind gk and autogk to continue development and add support for x264 and aac audio and subtitles too, all in mp4 or mkv containers, please.

Read this thread (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=7770) to better understand why they're no longer being developed. Too many people were dissatisfied with the free pie and tried to change the recipe, or wanted it a la mode.
