Im sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, but I am completely new to this. I have burned many backups, but I have never tried to encode DVD video to to DivX.
I am working with a 3 disk set of "Playmakers", the ESPN drama. I would like to create an .avi file for each episode, and I would like to have a pretty decent picture.
If anyone here can give me some pointers, reccomend some software, or link me to some forums I should read, I would much appreciate it.

forum.doom9.org
www.doom9.org -> guides
and don't forget to re-read the forum rules, for example rule no. 1 (use the search, read the guides,...)

OK. I looked at the guides and none of them really covered what I want to do. Now that you this thread is moved can someone now help me. I need to know what software I need to do this.

Use DVD Decrypter in IFO mode. It will display the episodes individually in the right pane.

OK. I have been asking all over the place and I hear Gordian Knot is the best software for my needs. Cant believe it was that hard just to get the name of an app.
Thanks for the tip about IFO mode. I never used IFO mode before and always wondered why it was there. :)

There is a mini-guide to DVD Decrypter within the Gordian Knot guide to which you were directed, which is why the :readguid: smiley was created.
