'AVC/Mpeg4-CELP' player

Hi all

I have created a Mp4 file format stream containing H.264/AVC video and Mpeg4-Celp audio.The fileformat is the container for AVC defined in the MPEG-4 Standard (ISO 14496-15),which is basically a mp4 fileformat file.

I am looking for a player that can play both H.264/AVC video and Mpeg4-Celp audio multiplexed in the mp4 fileformat container.

Can anyone please help me in finding such a player.

I downloaded as u said the "zoom player" and the "ffdshow" and then "K-Lite Codec Pack 2.70 Full, Standard and Basic" which seems to have coreavc.
After doing these downloads i get two players one a zoom player and "media classic player(i get media classic player by downloading k-lite codec pack)"

when i play the mp4 file having both AVC and Mpeg4 celp audio,in zoom player the zoom player plays only the video and i dont find it playing the audio.and secondly the "media classic player" crashes when i play the mp4 stream with AVC video and Mpeg4-CELP audio.

Can anyone please tell me where i am going wrong or is their any other solution for finding a player that can play both H.264/AVC video and Mpeg4-Celp audio multiplexed in the mp4 fileformat container.

Only player I know that supports CELP is mpeg4ip, but then it doesn't support AVC.

For MPC and other dshow players you would need a dshow decoder.

what is MPC and how do i use thse dshow decoder to play the file.what do i need do

MPC (in this case) means Media Player Classic. I figured since it was already mentioned....

Well as far as I know there is no CELP dshow decoder. I said that you would need one. Not that one existed. The splitter would also need to be capable of parsing the audio.

btw how did you mux celp into .mp4?

How did i mux celp into .mp4?
Answer is..The mpeg4 audio reference code gives u the facility in creating the Mpeg4-Celp audio stream in mp4 file format.once when we get the Mpeg4 Celp in mp4 file format,i open this file into Yamb,along with the AVC video in Yamb and the Yamb properly puts muxes(puts) the video into the Mp4 file contaning the Mpeg4-Celp audio in one track.

But guys Can anyone please guide me as to how i can get a player for playing both AVC and Mpeg4-Celp audio muxed in the Mp4 file container.(i couldnt find any CELP dshow decoder and some splitter which could be parsing the Mpeg4-celp audio as recommended in above discussion).Guys Help.

Yeah, it does look like it has an ffmpeg plugin now which presumably means AVC decoding.

Nero show time doesnt play MPEG4 CELP audio

how about realplayer? (wont play avc, but it might play the audio part.)

Have you tried QuickTime? It should play the CELP audio fine. Not sure about the video, it all depends on how you encoded it. :P

Sorry the Real player doesnt play the file and also quictime player doesnt play AVC video and i guess even MPEG4Celp audio.

pls anybody any idea how i can play both avc video and mpeg4celp audio in mp4 fileformat

Your options appear to be buy this (http://www.accelwork.com/swhwprod.html), whatever the hell it is; rerip or rerecord; and avoid such methods in the future.

You haven't mentioned how you created or obtained such a file, I mean, presumably whatever created it would be able to decode it.

I cannot buy such a thing as i am looking for a free player,and god knows how long it will take to get shipped.
I cannot re-rip or rerecord because the requirement is,to test,say a player which is supposed to support AVC video and mpeg4 celp in mp4 fileformat.hence i would require such a file and hence a player, so that we can cross check by playing in some player as we can atleast use it as a reference however reliable it maybe ... This is the idea behind it.

The method i used to make one is mentioned above in one of my replies,whatever i have used to make the file,that method(tools) cannot decode the file.Also it is not necessary for the utilities involved in the creation process to be involved in decoding while playing using some players.

Hence, to repeat once again

I already told you of such a player. mpeg4ip's player. You just need to find a binary. I'd compile on but it appears to require an old ffmpeg version or something. CELP plugin compiles fine though.

I have already tried mpeg4ip player but unfortunately it doesnt play AVC video but is one of the players like philips platform4 player that plays mpeg4celp audio in mp4 fileformat,But unfortunately the mpeg4ip player and philips platform4 player doesnt play the avc video.

i downloaded the mpeg4ip player from here

i tried playing a mp4 file containing H.264 video and mpeg4celp audio,the player plays the mpeg4celp audio but the player says this--> "unknown or unused video tracks" and as such the player doesnt play the H.264 video.

in you link 0.9xx and date is 2003 year!! ;]] ofcource his not suport AVC in 2003 :D

I meant Binary that is,Can anyone please give me the path where i can download the latest Mpeg4IP player binary.(as i tried to get the latest i could get only the year 2003 version).
Looking for the latest binary.

That would be the source code. I don't think that you are going to find a windows binary anywhere. There is one on my site from 2005, however it lacks teh ffmpeg plugin that would be required for AVC decoding.

You need to compile it yourself.
