best way for a double layer copy?

Hallo,

whats the best way to copy a original DVD9 to a double layer disc?

clonedvd--->clonedvd
dvddecrypter-->iso/mds---> dvddecrypter
dvddecrypter--->ImgBurn
dvdshrink--->dvdshrink
dvdFAB------>dvdFAB etc...

whats the best combination to let run this doublelayer inside standalone without problems?

I have had good success with dvddecrypter ISO read-->iso/mds--->dvddecrypter ISO write.

I use 1 click copy dvd. I work great. I used both Nero and Roxio but they do not
copy correctly.

Basically i found DVDdecrypter iso-read / iso-write the most compatible way for burning DL DVD+R right now. Trust me on that ;)

The disc (dvd-rom booktype) will play in all dvd players, including old ones.

My main problem is with the discs from Sony (Arcos encryption) which dvddecrypter doesn't decrypt.

I know there is a perfect free solution called DVDFAB decrypter, but i don't know with which program to burn the the VIDEO_TS folder that is created.
I could use nero, but i had HUGE problems (freezing on layer change) on the past with DL media.

Any advice on how to burn the Video_Ts folder in order to be compatible as it was (and still is) with dvddecrypter? Thanks !

there's a method of burning it with PGCedit that i've forgotten the link to.

if you've got a mac, you could always use DVDAfterEdit :) you might even find a better layer break than the original author.

but beware, i'm not sure if some discs can be 1:1 copied properly at all - OTP discs can be backed up just fine, but PTP discs cannot due to current burners not being able to swing that way. you'll have to shrink them a very very small amount and then burn as OTP.

I use 1 click dvd copy to copy dvd output from dvdFAb decryter.
this program knows how where layer break and provide a smooth transition to the next without notice when playing on dvd player.

By the way, I try roxio and nero and none work right at layer break and will stuck when playing.
