Does anybody know if this new program (http://www.slysoft.com/en/clonedvd-mobile.html) can convert movies on 3gp format too?
Greetings! :)

Hi!

Have you tried clicking on the "Contact" radiobutton (at the link you've provided) and selecting "Technical Support CloneDVD Mobile"?

I thought about that before you even got up this morning :sly:
I was hopping that somebody already tried the program.

Are any of these formats supported via Windows Media Extenders? The site says avi but the only format that puts out a file with the .AVI extension is DIVX and that won't work thru the extender do to the codec. I'll hit there support next. Hopefully .wmv is coming.

The new version: 1.0.4.1 has new profiles, one of them:
- New: Added profile for Sony Ericsson Phones (3GP)
- New: Added profile for Nokia Phones (3GP)
For the new changelog see here (http://www.slysoft.com/download/changes_clonedvdmobile.txt).
Interesting, but still not the level of "SUPER"... where is possible to import separated files (AVI, MPEG, MOV etc...) as well as .AVS...
Not the case of CloneDVD Mobile.

they only support the audio already present though, i.e. no transcoding to mp3 etc.

I've used this to put a couple movies on my Zen Vision and Zen Vision:M, and I have a hard time saying that the sound I get out of it is bad :) It's quick and easy, to the tune of a dvd taking about an hour on my computer (2.0ghz Athlon Mobile, 1gig ram, 320gigs of storage) whether it's already been ripped to my hard drive, or straight off the disc itself.

For a one to three click solution, this thing's pretty good.

I did a review of CloneDVD mobile over at MobileGadgetnews.com. The review is http://www.mobilegadgetnews.com/index.php?showtopic=10950
I really like the program and they have done one two updates since the release. The MGN site is Windows Mobile focused. I enjoy playing movies on my Samsung i730.
2/16/05 CloneDVD mobile update
2/12/06 CloneDVD mobile update

Check the review for the coupon code discount which offers a discount until 2/25/06. The other program that is slick and works well with CloneDVD mobile is AnyDVD. I always used DvdDecryptor but it is nice having the resident decryptor in place all the time.

I think is better to look into this (http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html) GUI.
It's also based on FFMPEG and it has a lot more features than CloneDVD Mobile, it can import separeted files, as well as Avisynth scripts... and you can choose the bitrate in every profile. Just to name a few things.
And last but not least, and may be the most important, it's free!!
Greetings! :)
