Anyone know, or can hazard a guess at, what basic settings are likely to be used by both parties when encoding their films to AVC.
I know at the moment some of the Studios bringing out content on Blu-ray are saying they'll be using MPEG2 because they have enough space too (and the point of having all that extra space when it's not needed with AVC is then....??) but at some stage I suppose they will take up AVC.
Also, anyone know if the chipsets being manufactured for the players will be able to handle all parts of the AVC spec? As I understand it, there can be a lot more post processing involved in decoding AVC than there ever was in MPEG2 and therefore the hardware will be more important.
