Where on Disc does ISO start burning?

This may seem like a silly question. When I burn a DVD folder the DVD starts burning on the first available sector on the inside of the DVD and proceeds toward the outside. If I am burning an ISO image of an already burned DVD does the same hold true or would it start to burn the image at the same sector as the source? Or when burning a DVD does it alway start in the same place regardless of whether you are burning an image or files? The reason I ask is that my DVD player is very sensitive to material at the end of a DVD (the outside assuming one movie) so I would prefer to use a strategy that would always start burning at the first available inside sector.

(I am posting in this forum because I usually use Lightning UK's app to burn isos)

More often than not, the outer edge sensitivity you refer to is actually the result of poor quality media, rather than player shortcoming...

The filesystem (544 sectors) is always placed first then the ISO is written sequentially, inside to out.
