If my DVD player is Philips 5100k, I shall choose ESS or Sigma?
waht choose the film quality is better?

If I don't choose anything, thefilm's quality is bad.
When I choose ESS or Sigma, the screen is better.

But I don't know what kind of Philips use the chips, so I don't konew what choose is better?

thanks.

As far as I know it uses an MTK chipset.

I think it has a problem to set MTK/sigma, because the frame still not good sometime.
When I set to ESS, the frame's quality is very good.

I think that maybe some problem between the Philips 5100 and AutoGK MTK/sigma Setting.

Is there any difference when choosing these profiles?
Do you have to make the choice when you install AutoGK (ESS, Sigma) or you can choose later from AutoGK.

What's different between these two?
If I won't choose any of these does it make a difference?

I've tried and I couldn't notice any difference... I guess it's just me but can somebody please explain ?

Thanks!

As far as I know, ESS is basically DXN's HT profile. MTK uses the extra profiles that I added. Not sure exactly what AutoGK does with them though. Basically they enable HT's VBV setting to keep the bitrate in check, but allow qpel and CQM's. They also allow you to enable/disable packed bitstream or have slightly higher VBV settings for those players that can handle it (MTK 6000 profiles).

It's on the Hidden Options menu, bottom right (Ctrl+F9).
