Your CCE setup looks wrong. In your options, your config'd to use CCE 2.50 but when you run a "Prepare", it's using CCE 2.70.

As for the rest of the settings, did you change things from the defaults ?? If so, put 'em back. Until you get a good grasp on the program, trust jdobbs and the defaults he's selected for us. It does appear that you've bumped up the CCE passes from the default setting up to (6). I think many people will tell you that (3) passes is plenty. The add'l (3) will gain you little to nothing, at least that the human eye can see, and only make the encode process much, much longer.

You kept the DTS? My advice is to get rid of it and keep the AC3.

@SPEEDYGO

[Taken from previous post]: "- Overall Bitrate : 2,120/1,696Kbs"

Definately shed the DTS; you'll profit from the extra bitrate you'll achieve in your video stream. Most people can't tell the difference between a 5.1 track and a DTS... but nearly everyone can notice the artifacts in low-bitrate movies. Even though your encoder settings can make the difference between a good encode and a bad one, it would take considerable skill and good use of filters to create a watchable copy from bitrates as low as what's listed for your project.

[From the same post]: "-- ANGLE and/or INTERLEAVING is present."

Also, are you using the Pro version or the free version? The Pro version will re-encode interleaving/multi-angle segments, keeping your quality consistent. The free version merely copies these sections at the original's quality, which can sometimes use up valuble disk space that might have otherwise been availible to assist the overall project's image quality.

There is also the option of using seperate programs to strip unwanted features, movie trailers, FBI warnings, and the like; again, what you don't keep gives more space for what you DO keep. The disclaimer for using such programs, of course, is that while these programs have the power to allow you to customize your backup... they can also allow you to trash it. If you'd like to read up on some of these, visit the forum's IFO Editors section, and read the Doom9 guides. (I personally use and love the commecial DVD Remake, which allows you to create a test disk to ensure your project works.) If all else fails, you can always use Rebuilder's "movie-only" mode to maximize the quality of the movie... and simply use your original disk whenever you want to watch the features (which will be HOW often? ;) ).

Cheers!

If this is the R1 NTSC version of Zorro (2005), you should be able to get away with the deleted scenes and movie/menu with the DD5.1 track untouched. ;)

There is a very large, approx 600MB, cell that is unreferenced in the menu VTS01 that could be blanked to save some space. Still think you will have to blank other VTS's to get a good quality movie though.

I also miss the MIN_BITRATE=0 setting which can greatly improve results towards blocking using CCE.

Although JDOBBS has lowered the MIN_BITRATE already, it's still not 0.

CCE 2.7.x.x seems to work fine with a MIN_BITRATE of 0 and this gives more room for higher demanding scenes.

Just add the line:

MIN_BITRATE=0

to rebuilder.ini

But do so at your own risk... remember that there while its rare there are sources that have been known to make CCE crash when you sent the minimum bitrate below 300...

once again thx 4 all yr info i will let it be the MIN_BITRATE=0 as he said it might crash and am not to good with pc or prog so i will let it b for now but i will put another .ini next time i buy a new movie and back it up and see what u guys think :D
