View Full Version : Simply burn backup files to DVD?

Hi all,

This forum has been a wealth of information for me and I really appreciate it and use many of the tools discussed here.

What I'm wondering is suppose I simply want to use a DVD-R to backup regular files (non-media, such as My Documents, etc.), do any of the tools discussed here perform such a task? I know (and use) many of the tools to author DVDs/burn DVDs, but I can't figure out how to simply burn back-up files.

BTW, I don't currently own any of the commercial products (Nero, etc.) and would rather not go that way unless I have to.

Thanks in advance!

I use deepburner (free!), which has a simple drag and drop interface, to back-up my stuff.

Mr_Odwin,

Thanks very much for your advice. I DL'd deepburner and gave it a whirl. Works great for my particular needs.

Thanks again.
