I've got a standalone Sony RDR-HX70 dvd/hd recorder, and hooked up the hard disk to my comp and it's recognized by the bios and Windows, but i can't actually read the files nor is the drive assigned a letter. This is likely using a file system windows doesn't recognize natively. But there's gotta be a back door right?
Also to be clear, I don't want to clone this hd (googling seems to indicate this is possible from windows) but rather i want to access the files. I used to diligently back up the programs from the standalone to dvdrw and then author a dvd in windows, but not anymore and there's a ton of files. It would take too long to back up to dvd, so I just want to read the files, copy and author.
