I followed the steps on decrypting a ARccOS file, but after it compresses for burning (using Nero) it fails the burn because it says it can't find Video_TS.VOB. The file is in the folder and I've tried it on two dvds, but its still not working. How do i fix this?

The steps of which program?

There are numerous effective ways of dealing with ARccOS-protected titles - using this forum's search or Google will get you many results.

This wouldn't be The Fog, would it?

Try running it through FixVTS (www.videohelp.com/~FixVTS).

i went through the steps on blutach's signature, but after it compresses when the burn begins it will fail. i looked in the temporary file while compressing and it had the video_ts.vob file in it, but after the burn fails and i looked for it, it wasn't in there. i used fix on the file, but it still won't burn it. does the same thing every time.

@studmuff

1. Do you have the most recent versions of VobBlanker (http://jsoto.posunplugged.com/vobblanker.htm) (2.1.0.0), FixVTS (www.videohelp.com/~FixVTS) (1.24) and the plugin (2.14)? This small installer (http://www.digital-digest.com/~blutach/patch.exe) patches you to the most recent versions, if you haven't.

2. If you have, it seem that VIDEO_TS.VOB has been removed from the files. Was it there on the original DVD? If not, then no problem - just ignore Ner0's warning and say burn anyway (this has been a long time objection of Ner0)

3. If it has been removed from the files but is still in the IFOs, PgcEdit (http://www.videohelp.com/~r0lZ/pgcedit/index.html) can help. Before burning, load the files in PgcEdit (http://www.videohelp.com/~r0lZ/pgcedit/index.html) and select any PGC in VMGM on the left. Ctrl-Del and say remove VOB. Save and burn.
