Hi there!!
I’m having a problem with BeLight/Besweet and Nero.
I’m trying to convert a 3’17” ac3 (5.1) file into mp4, using the same settings (Stereo, 192kb/s, LC, Fast).
The final mp4 file is after BeLight 1.4MB big, and after using Nero is over 4MB.
I don’t understand, actually BeLight uses the same encoder as nero does... Why the difference?
Greetings!

Thank for your reply Kurt!!
I've tried your suggestion but is exactly the same as before.
The original ac3 file is 9.170KB big, and the final mp4 file is 1.484KB... and "it has to be" over 4MB...

Using Belight/BeSweet I convert a 3'15'' ac3 file to mp4/160kbs/CBR (Nero) and the result is a 1.35MB file when actually it has to be near 3MB.
Some ideas why?

mmh, don't know. You still have Nero 6 ? Which version ?
Try without resampling, maybe...

Yep, Nero 6.6.0.3... I had Nero 7, but I didn't like it, so I came back.
I will try without resampling but, I also don't know... :o

Same problem: The original file is a 3'17'' ac3. After mp4 (Nero: 160Kb/s CBR) converting with BeLight/BeSweet, the file is 1.468 KB.
Same file (same settings) after Nero encoder (On Nero Burning Rom 6.6.0.3) the result is 3.825 KB.
Some ideas?
Greetings!
[Edit]
All files are there: Aac.dll; aacenc32.dll and NeroIPP.dll
I don't know what's wrong.

Could you try with wav file as input and with other GUIs...

The same!
I've tried your suggestion, I convert the .ac3 first in .wav an later in .mp4... the result was the same: 1.386KB mp4. (This time is a little bit smaller)
ac3: 9.170KB
wav: 33.690KB
mp4: 1.386KB (?)
Other GUI? Wich one do you have in mind?

No idea of this problem? Am I the only one?
It seems to be that the final mp4 after BeLight/BeSweet is at 60Kb/s encoded and not at 160Kb/s... but the log file says 160!
Is there a way to see the bitrate in an audio mp4 file?
Please help! :(

This Nero 6/7 encoders are very bad and have big oversize when using any of gain/boost modes. So you better now use Coding technologies whit lastest belight, support everything, LC,HE,PS

Yeah, may be.
But the main problem was the Aac.dll and I have two of them, one is 856KB and the other 1.192KB.
The big one works perfectly with BeWseet/BeLight, but the other one makes undersized mp4/aac files.
And I don't know which one use Kurt for testing.

You can't use different aac.dll for same aacenc.dll. You can but you get this problems. So then use both this files from one package of nero 6/7, btw this new nero encoder seem to be good and but i think not working yet with BeHappy

I took all the original files from the Original Nero 6: Aac.dll, aacenc32.dll and NeroIPP.dll. All of them from the same version (6.6.0.3), and the result was (only with BeSweet/BeLight) an undersized aac file, as I explained in the posts above.
Then I took only the Aac.dll (bigger) from another version (I don't remember if was Nero 7 or another Nero 6) and It worked fine.
That's why I would like to know which aac.dll uses Kurt for testing.

Thanks Kurt!
I use now 2.5.9.97 (1.192KB) and it's working.
But the 2.5.6.0 one (856KB) does not work... or happen what I said before.
Greetings!
