Dayvon you are not the only one with those problems i also made a 5.1 test encode and somehow the center and right channels are mixed wich can be corrected with ffdshow tough but i really wonder what's wrong i couldn't test it myself, because i have no 5.1 equipment it's just based on info from other users

Yeah its really odd. The whole AAC 5.1 thing. In Media Player Classic, the volume on the player doesn't effect my rear speakers like it does with AC3 audio. Why? Who knows. Probably cause the splitting happens after MPC sends it out.

I have problems with 5.1 aac too.
I recently converted a 5.1 ac3 to 5.1 lc-aac (nero7, internet-profile)
with BeLight 0.2.2.0 b9. The Channel-Order is not correct. l and r are switched.
The Birate reduction with this low-profile is very decent so i stick
with the 5.1 ac3 anyway. No real 5.1 encoding in Nero right now?

about the channel thingie:
garf once wrote here that iirc nero a long time wanted a wav as input which had a wrong channel order so that nero outputs an aac with correct channel order
this was now fixed in nero7. so that nero has to be fed with a correct wav for outputting a correct aac
i assume these channel order problems are caused by using either a correct wav on old nero dlls, or an incorrect wav on new nero dlls...
split this thread and moved to audio forum

Thanks for the hint bond!
I corrected the BeSweet commandline to use -6chold and
the channel order seems to be correct :)
there seems to be a lack of efficient 5.1 channel coupling anyway.
Same with Vorbis :( - better to stick with ac3 at the moment.

seems you are using old nero dlls?
channel coupling should work fine with nero
